Been Hard On Your Body Lately? Try This Powerful Green Detox Smoothie

Have you been throwing back the beers and eating not-so-good foods lately? Don’t sweat it. We all do that sometimes. I know I sure do! At times like this, a little detox smoothie can do the body wonders. The celery and parsley in this recipe are diuretics and can help flush nasty business from your system. I’d encourage drinking (not slamming) 8 ounces of water after you consume this smoothie. On top of that, be sure to drink plenty of water every day. Let’s get into it:

You will need:

  • 1 1/4 cup of chopped kale leaves
  • 1 1/4 cup of cubed mango
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 cup of fresh orange or tangerine juice (can substitute for water if you’re watching your calories)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup of chopped mint

I actually added about a quarter inch of grated ginger to this recipe too and it was pretty good. But that’s definitely optional. It’ll help you with digestion if your stomach has been giving you some trouble. From here, simply combine all of your ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
